Installation Issues

I have tried to install Fork via GitHUb, uploading and uncompressing the tar file, etc. In a word all the alternatives according to the instructions here. But nothing I always get the following message:

Not Found The requested URL /install was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

And when I am using composer to install it, the system prompts the following messages...

monolog/monolog suggests installing aws/aws-sdk-php (Allow sending log messages to AWS services like DynamoDB) monolog/monolog suggests installing doctrine/couchdb (Allow sending log messages to a CouchDB server) monolog/monolog suggests installing ext-amqp (Allow sending log messages to an AMQP server (1.0+ required)) monolog/monolog suggests installing ext-mongo (Allow sending log messages to a MongoDB server) monolog/monolog suggests installing graylog2/gelf-php (Allow sending log messages to a GrayLog2 server) monolog/monolog suggests installing raven/raven (Allow sending log messages to a Sentry server) monolog/monolog suggests installing rollbar/rollbar (Allow sending log messages to Rollbar) monolog/monolog suggests installing ruflin/elastica (Allow sending log messages to an Elastic Search server) Generating optimized autoload files [Symfony\Component\DependencyInjection\Exception\ParameterNotFoundException] You have requested a non-existent parameter "templating.engines". [Symfony\Component\DependencyInjection\Exception\ParameterNotFoundException] You have requested a non-existent parameter "templating.engines".

What can I do to fix it? Help!!!

Are you sure you've uploaded the hidden .htaccess file? The rewriting rules are specified in that file, so the webservers knows which file he must load if you visit /install.

I also get the last few lines complaining about "templating.engines", it's because fork isn't installed yet but you can forget about that I think.

Thanks Jesse for your help. I just get the 3.8.0.tar.gz file from the website, upload it and execute tar -xvf command. I guess the .htaccess file comes within the tar file, doesn't it?

Also when I visit the location where I installed the app, it redirects me to www.mydomain.url/install location giving me the error messages. Any clues...?

Strange. Can you verify that htaccess is extracted (ls -al)? And does Apache have mod rewrite enabled? I can't think of any other solutions right now... Composer didn't throw any errors, those seem to be just messages/noticed.
